Book Louise Humpington
Women of AI officially represents Louise for all speaking and event bookings
Louise Humpington is an AI ethics and governance consultant (Kairosynthesis), whose career has spanned financial services litigation (Eversheds Sutherland), NED work (Amnesty International UK) and International Development at Director level (Oxfam). She empowers organisations to make decisions that can be explained, defended and trusted.
AI doesn’t create dysfunction. It magnifies what is already there. Siloed working, decisions made without a wide enough room, governance and policy as paperwork rather than practice. Louise closes those gaps before they become expensive.
She has trained senior British Defence Academy leaders, briefed Boards and Government Ministers, spoken at COP26, submitted evidence to the UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Executions, contributed to the UN Global Dialogue on AI, worked with indigenous communities fighting illegal logging, and appeared on British and Gambian television. She is interviewed regularly on podcasts and national radio.
That range underpins her approach. Governance has to work at every level it touches, or it does not really work at all. The gap is rarely a lack of good intentions or good people. It’s that nobody has connected what they already know into something that maps across an entire organisation or holds up under scrutiny. That connective work, turning fragments into evidence of judgement, is what Louise does.

“On stage, she brings experiences to life with candour, precision, passion and energy, challenging audiences to see distributed, embedded governance as a competitive advantage rather than a constraint, and leaving them with tools they can use before the next AI decision, not after.“
