Dr Mhairi Aitken is a Senior Ethics Fellow at The Alan Turing Institute and a globally recognised authority on AI ethics, known for making complex concepts accessible. She leads research on Children and AI, organised the world’s first Children’s AI Summit in 2025, and developed a Human Rights Impact Assessment tool adopted by the Council of Europe. Named among the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics, Mhairi combines academic rigour with public engagement.
