AI Intimacy, Psychoanalysis & the Future of Human Connection

Dr Agnieszka Piotrowska is a psychoanalytic scholar, multi-award-winning filmmaker and life coach whose work examines the emotional and psychological dimensions of human relationships with AI. She is the author of AI Intimacy and Psychoanalysis (Routledge, 2026) and originator of “technotransference”, a framework for understanding unconscious projections in human–AI relationships. A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and PhD holder from Birkbeck, University of London, she has delivered the closing keynote at IAPP AI Governance Global Europe and spoken at TEDx Bradford, with her work featured on the BBC, Sky News and Times Radio.
